The domaine lies on the edge of the Gironde, close to the Sainte-Foy-la-Grande bastide, place of strong trade relations with England in the 13th century.
This château and its wines are a homage to the former master of the house, Lord Guillaume Blanc, a Consulate and Jurate who lived at the property in the 17th century. The domaine continues to be inspired by him and its exceptionally high quality wines proudly bear his name.
The vineyards that surround the domaine thrive in this rich and complex terroir. The merlots offer remarkable finesse thanks to their clay-limestone soils whereas the cabernets are well-suited to the gravelly soils. Château Guillaume Blanc is Responsible Farming certified.
